THE JOURNEY FROM HOLLYWOOD - Dr. Chris Matteson

Over the years, many have journeyed to Hollywood with dreams of fame, fortune, and creative expression.  However, Dr. Chris Matteson's journey began in Hollywood as the child of a well-known portrait artist.  Her father had a studio on the corner of Hollywood and Vine, and he created portraits for many well-known families such as the Duponts and Fairbanks.  Chris was a very shy, introverted child who spent many hours hiking in the Hollywood Hills.  Her dreams as an artist were realized in her own unique way on a journey that led her away from Hollywood to Minnesota.

VIOLA GETS A SCHO0L - Viola Daetz

Even as a child, Viola had dreams of becoming a teacher.  Her story is not in the fact that she did indeed see this dream come true.  Her story is about the unique way that she got her first teaching position and the ripple effect that it had for years to come.

SING FROM YOUR HEART - Charlotte Sonnichsen

Music lifts the spirit of all who hear it.  It had been said that music comes closest to anything on earth at showing what heaven may be like.  It truly is a celebration of both body and soul.  Charlotte's story is about her love for music and how it has been her whole life.  Enjoy her story of how she and her husband Sydney met through music and how they joyfully wove music into their entire life together.

THE JOURNEY ON THE TRAIN - Lee Anderson

None of us is spared the loss of a loved one at some point in our lives.  Unfortunately, the largest loss in Lee's life occurred when she was not yet four years old.  Lee was willing to share the story of her encounter with the tragic death of her mother and the impact that it had on the rest of her life.

At 98, Verdi shared stories about her journey through life that were amazing, entertaining, and tender.  She was indeed the master storyteller.  Her story begins before she was born with a trip to the gypsy queen.  The gypsy predicted her mother would marry a man whose initials were FJG and that she would have three beautiful daughters.  Now go along for the rest of the journey.
